    Samsung Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 931BF
The brightness and color of my monitor is important, especially since I often spend hours in front of it editing images. The Samsung SyncMaster 931BF monitor provides the kind of image quality that I desire for working with my images. The 19-inch LCD features a contrast ratio of 2000:1 and a fast 2ms response time. Supporting a native resolution of 1280 x 1024, the monitor features a generous viewing angle of 160 degrees and a brightness rating of 300cd/m at an affordable price. List Price: $299. Tenba Skooba Skin Tenba/RoadWired Skooba Skin
I love the Skooba Skin from Tenba/RoadWired because it’s practical and stylish. The padded laptop sleeve easily converts into a carry bag by flipping the top flap—no zipper, buckle, clip or hardware. You can carry it around inside another bag or use it alone when the computer is all you need. The Skin comes in three sizes to fit nearly any laptop. Seven stylish fabric/color combinations are available, including metallic silver with orange lining and brown corduroy with teal interior. List Price: $29-$39. HP Photosmart A616 HP Photosmart A616
A lot of photographers think big printers when considering a printer for their digital photos. I use them, too, but I also love the compact printers that let me print directly and quickly from a camera or memory card. Hewlett-Packard’s Photosmart A616 compact photo printer is one of my favorites because it prints both 4x6 and 5x7 prints that I can give to friends and family immediately. Plus, the unit can take a battery for truly portable use and allows you to include frames and borders, print black-and-white images and more, all in a unit that’s only 10x4.5x5.1 inches in size. Estimated Street Price: $179. Contact: Hewlett-Packard, (800) 752-0900, www.hp.com.—RS

SanDisk Ext IV SanDisk Extreme IV 4 GB CompactFlash & Reader Bundle
One of my favorite differences between film and digital photography is that I don’t have to constantly change rolls of film. The freedom of uninterrupted shooting is also why I like high-capacity memory cards, especially when I’m shooting RAW files. SanDisk’s Extreme IV CompactFlash cards come in capacities of up to 8 GB (the 4 GB suits my photography habits well) and boasts blisteringly fast download speeds of up to 40 MBps when paired with the SanDisk Extreme FireWire reader. The reader supports FireWire 800 and 400 and is available alone or as a bundle with the Extreme IV CompactFlash. If you find yourself spending a lot of time waiting for images to download from your camera, do yourself a favor and get the bundle. List Price: $319 (4 GB, card only); $399 (4 GB card and reader).
