With several halls filled with photo equipment it doesn't come as a surprise that Photokina has an underwater world. (With apologies to Kevin Costner -- or is it the other way around?)
Camera Armor’s Seattle Sling Bag Protects Against the Elements

A while back I was on a rafting trip on the Colorado river. While I had access to a camera with a waterproof housing, the rest of my stuff was tightly sealed in a dry bag. I'm glad it was during the rapids, but for several hours I wish I had brought a smaller dry bag to carry with me.
With all the buzz about the Leica S2 their booth was busy at Photokina. As I wandered around the various displays there was a strange looking 15 foot long rectangular box in the middle of the floor. One end was about 2 feet square and the other end was about 4 feet. it was all black -- this was the Leica booth after all.
At Photokina there were many booths displaying digital picture frames, but quiet honestly I have been to shows where there have been more. After awhile they seem to blur because there are so many shapes and sizes but the styling starts to look similar. (No letters please.)
