Buyer's Guide 2024: D-SLRs $1,000 - $2,000
Speed and control upgrades are just two reasons to step up to the “sweet-spot” models
Samsung GX-20
Not coincidentally similar to the Pentax K20D, the GX-20 features the same 14.6-megapixel Samsung/Pentax CMOS sensor, weather-resistant and dustproof construction, Live-View LCD monitor, sensor-dust remover and handy RAW button (although it offers only DNG format). Sensor-shift optical image stabilization works with all lenses (the GX-20 can use Pentax lenses, and Samsung and Schneider lenses designed for it). The control layout (shared with the K20D) makes for easy operation.
