PCPhoto Contributing Editors - John Shaw
John Shaw has been a professional photographer for thirty years. He has published in all the major markets that use nature images: books, magazines, advertisements, calendars, and corporate publications. Advertising clients include Nikon, Fuji, and Lowepro. He is also the author and photographer of six best-selling books on field photography: The Nature Photographer's Complete Guide; John Shaw's Closeups in Nature; John Shaw's Focus on Nature; John Shaw's Landscape Photography; The Business of Nature Photography, and John Shaw's Nature Photography Guide.
He has been a category winner in the BBC wildlife photography competition, and in 1997 was selected as the "Outstanding Photographer" by NANPA (North American Nature Photographers Association), the first such award every given. He conducts nature photography workshops and lectures throughout the US, and leads photo tours worldwide for Joseph Van Os Photo Safaris. He is also a contributing editor to Outdoor Photographer and PCPhoto magazines.
John, his wife Andrea and their Schnauzers Cassidy and AJ, live in the country north of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
