PCPhoto's Editorial Staff - Rob Sheppard
Rob Sheppard is the editor of PCPhoto and Outdoor Photographer magazines. He helped launch PCPhoto, a magazine designed to help readers use photography with their computers. PCPhoto is centered on the image and showing what you can do with that image (a focus not seen in any other magazine). Outdoor Photographer celebrates the outdoors and helping people make better photographs of landscapes, wildlife, travel and sports action subjects.
Sheppard's strong interest in communicating through photography began when he built a darkroom at age 13. He brings a wealth of "in-use" experience to the magazines. His résumé includes years of work as a naturalist, photojournalist, commercial photographer and video producer. He's a strong believer in the power of photography and in the potential of new technologies to bring energy and life to visual imaging. While living most of his life in Minnesota, he moved with his wife, Vicky, and two kids, Adam and Sammi, to Los Angeles six years ago.
