Thinking about purchasing a photo printer.

    I was internet shopping for a new photo printer. Narrowed it down to the Epson R1800 or the canon 9000. Went to Amazon to check prices and reviews. Both printers are in the $500 range, both had high ratings, but when I read the 1 star and 2 star ratings from both I found an interesting fact. It seems that if you purchased either printer, and had to return it, new right out of the box, both Canon and Epson would only send you a "refurbished" printer--NOT a new one. Is this becoming the industry standard??? I haven't checked with HP yet.
