E-mail is ideal for quick notes, but it’s not a great way to share
photos. There are better options. Software and Web-based services make
it easy to create multimedia slideshows and professionally printed
books, cards and photo gifts. You can even create your own online
broadcast of photos to which friends and family can subscribe. All of
these options are an improvement over the chore of saving and opening
attachments, especially when you want to share lots of photos. One of the most visually exciting ways to share photos is with dynamic multimedia slideshows. The possibilities range from simple shows with basic transitions to more sophisticated displays that include music, captions, narration and animations. Many photo-processing applications like Apple iPhoto and Adobe Photoshop Elements have slideshow creation tools built in. iPhoto does simple slideshows with music and transitions, while Photoshop Elements adds text tools for captions and enhanced control over display duration. Several of the photo-organization applications offer similar slideshow creation features. Titles such as Microsoft iView MediaPro, ACDSee 9 and Photodex CompuPic Pro are robust solutions for organization that also offer the ability to create impressive slideshows. The advantage of slideshow creation in your existing photo application is that your images are already there, likely categorized in albums or with keywords for easy access. Chances are, you can generate a slideshow in just a few clicks from an existing album. |
