    NAS. Network-attached storage (NAS) is like having a corporate file server right at your desk but without all the support needs. It’s basically a large hard drive with an Ethernet connector. Once the drive is connected to your network, you access its Web interface, go through some quick user setups and then start moving files to it. While NAS doesn’t require modifications to your computer, it sacrifices speed, compared to a hard drive attached directly to your computer. On the plus side, it gives you the capability of sharing storage space among several computers—something that isn’t as easy to do with a directly attached hard drive
